英文原文:On the other hand, a compressor of a turbocharger is driven by an exhaust turbine. A compressor impeller converts the power output from the turbine to kinetic energy of air. After that a diffuser and a compressor 【scroll】 convert this kinetic energy to pressure by gradually decreasing velocity of air flow. Figure 3 shows an example of variation of static pressure at the diffuser under steady state flow on turbocharger test rig. The static pressures were measured at diameter ratio 1.2 to the compressor impeller. The pressure ratio between at the diffuser and the 【scroll outlet】 changes by operating points. At near 【choke condition】, the pressure ratio is higher than at compressor peak efficiency and near pre-surge conditions. Also the pressure ratio shows a tendency to decrease at higher speed.
